Firstly, that's not ENTRANCE exam... That's the first level (stage) in CA course details . So please stop saying it ENTRANCE. Coming to the point, you have 30 days. Four subjects - Accounts, Law, Quantitative aptitude, Economics. Rule 1 : Revise, Don't LEARN. Revise whatever you learned, don't go for new topics now. Rule 2: 70%-30% Rule. The rule says that invest 30% of your time on subjects or topics which you know well and remaining 70% on subjects or topics which you're not confident at. Rule 3: Examination tactics No matter how good you're at concepts, it all boils down to your answer in exam (ca exam details ). So prepare well in advance the way you're going to tackle the paper. Eg. In paper 1, solve law first, because during the first half an hour you will feel tensed and there is a high possibility of commiting mistakes if you go for practical questions. Revise all the formulas and their application. Never neglect theory, you'll get theory questions in both the sessions. SUBJECT SPECIFIC GUIDANCE: 1. ACCOUNTS - I don't know whether you're from commerce background or not. Assuming that you're from commerce background, your accounts base should be good. So please go through accounting process (journal entries, ledger, trial balance, final accounts) quickly without investing much time. Go through BRS carefully, you'll get some two to three questions. Finally,(ca final) solve partnership and company accounts very very carefully. Make your concepts crystal clear. They carry a lot of weightage in the exam. 2. MERCANTILE LAW - This is the most easiest subject. The questions will be direct. Just revise all the laws carefully. Solve this subject first when you get the question paper. 3. QUANTITATIVE APTITUDE - All the formulae must be clear, understand the meaning and application behind that formula. Integration and differentiation question are compulsory. Questions from equations chapter are very easy, you can substitute the options and solve. 4. ECONOMICS - Focus on micro economics now. One week before the exam, start macro economics. Because the values and other figures will be fresh in your mind.( ca details) Read the question carefully and try to ELIMINATE the options. The questions test your basic concepts... No rocket science... So try to stick to basics while answering the questions. You have negative marking, so answer only those questions which you know well. DON'T GUESS! That's it... :) Read the instructing on your hall ticket carefully and write well, don't panic. All the best.
